The “Cobra” 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army (YES...you read that right...IRAQI ARMY) has been handed the keys to FOB Bernstein in the northern Sallah-Dihn Province. The 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division is no longer responsible for the base, or the security of the areas surrounding it. HOT DAMN!
The commander of Iraq's 2nd Brigade, Lt. Col. Safa, said “We are from the people. And, we work for the people. If we don’t protect them, who can protect them?” The Iraqi people are one step closer to being on their own, which puts our guys one step closer to home. (source)

And new Dad, Heartless Libertarian, wrote an adorable speech for President Bush to deliver to El Presidente Fox of Mexico regarding the status of our border. I'm STILL smiling after reading *that* rant.
