the pork-laden federal spending bills are getting WAY out of hand!

As if the $790 billion dollar so-called stimulus bill wasn't enough, just days later, Congress passed another $410 BILLION DOLLAR omnibus spending bill. At first, the bill was cited as "necessary" to keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year. But now the details of the bill are coming out.. and it's nothing but Stimulus Junior.

~ $1.8 million to the University of Iowa to fund research aimed at reducing the stench of pig farms

~ $200,000 for gang-related tattoo removal in California

~ $22 million to the JFK Presidential Library, plus another $6.8 million for the JFK Center for the Performing Arts

~ $1 million to combat Mormon Crickets in Utah

~ $200,000 for wool research

~ $4.5 million for wood utilization research

Uh.
YEAH.

"emergency spending" to ensure the viability of our FEDERAL GOVERNMENT for the next eight months includes $13 BILLION DOLLARS in additional earmarks that, for whatever reason, didn't make it into the previous week's $790 billion dollar pork-laden stimulus bill.... and neither of those bills include the actual annual budget!!

I could just cry. Or hit something.

PEOPLE... LOOK AT WHAT IS GOING ON. YOUR MESSIAH PRESIDENT, WHO PROMISED A "LINE BY LINE" ELIMINATION OF WASTEFUL FEDERAL FUNDING IS ON A SPENDING SPREE!

I still can't believe he's our President, and everything I thought would go wrong HAS gone wrong. Obama and his money-happy Democrat-controlled House and Congress are running this country into the ground, and I'm powerless to stop it. Makes me sick.
